VNA Community Health Services is supported through the VNA & Hospice Foundation and is dedicated to providing education and support to the residents of our community.
On almost any day of the week, Advance Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) can be found throughout Indian River County leading group health education workshops and health screenings free of charge at local organizations and residential communities. The goal is to improve the health of our community by promoting health information to educate on different disease processes, medications, nutrition, exercise and general wellbeing through fun, interactive workshops.
Collaborating with agencies such as the Florida Department of Health Indian River County, Substance Awareness Center, Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital and Senior Resource Association help to achieve this goal.
Through the generous support of the Indian River County Hospital District, the VNA Mobile Health Clinic goes into neighborhoods throughout our community to bring affordable healthcare to those who are under or uninsured. Our APRNs can examine, diagnose and prescribe medications for minor, non-urgent illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, sore throats, earaches and minor cuts.
